Safety Tip Line

Stay Safe, Speak Up! button

Findlay City Schools is fully committed to curbing student bullying and school violence and providing a positive learning environment for all students. As part of our commitment, the district offers the Stay Safe. Speak Up! Student Safety Reporting System (powered by PublicSchoolWORKS) to document and respond to concerns of bullying, suicide, violence, and other safety threats.

The system allows students, parents, and staff to submit safety concerns to school officials in three different ways:

1. Mobile App. Download the Stay Safe. Speak Up! mobile app and enter our unique District Code to submit reports directly from your smartphone. DISTRICT CODE: FCS

2. Phone. Call 1-866-547-8362 to leave a voice message or speak with a trained, live attendant. Attendants can initiate contact with various national crisis hotlines if a student needs help in dealing with a personal emergency.

3. Online. Click on the Stay Safe. Speak Up! button on the homepage to access the online form.

Students who believe they have been harassed, bullied, victimized by fellow students, or have other concerns which may jeopardize the safety of students, employees or school property are asked to use this system to report the issue. Reports can be submitted anonymously.

Thanks in advance for helping to make our school community a safer place to work and learn.

The safety of our students and staff is the number one priority at Findlay City Schools. Findlay City Schools is the first and only district in Ohio to have an aggressive proactive approach to student and staff safety.  The district was the first and only district in Ohio to implement SafeDefend, which utilizes multiple ways of communications in a crisis.   The district provides ongoing safety training for staff at every school building.

The safety, health, and well-being of Findlay City Schools students, staff, volunteers, and visitors is our top priority.

Throughout the school year, our students participate in a variety of training exercises as mandated by the State of Ohio. All of our schools complete drills throughout the year in the event of a fire or tornado.

Staff and students also perform safety drills, teaching them how to respond to different scenarios in the event of a crisis. Training is tailored for the different age groups, meaning a safety drill at an early childhood school looks very different than one at a high school.  Please reach out to Ryan Parsons, Lead Security, with any questions or concerns.
